After midnight, on film

Ines Moreau is a night photographer based in Marseille. She works on 35mm film with a direct flash, for magazines, clubs, record labels and the people in the room.

It started with a borrowed compact at friends’ parties. The camera has changed since, the hours have not: most frames here were made between midnight and five.

Every roll is developed and scanned by hand. Nothing is staged and nothing is retouched beyond dust and contrast.
